AI Agent Security
How AI Agent Permissions Work
AI agent permissions control what an agent can access and what actions it can take. Each connection — email, files, calendar — is granted separately. The safest approach is default-deny: the agent has no access at all unless you deliberately give it, keeping risk contained.
Can an AI Agent Access My Files?
Only if you deliberately connect it. An AI agent can't open, edit or delete your files unless you grant that access. Some tools offer file access; others, including AI Agent Factory Outlet, don't connect to your files at all and only work with text you type or paste in.
Can an AI Agent Access My Email?
Only if you deliberately connect it. An AI agent can't reach your inbox unless you grant that permission. Many tools offer email access; some, including AI Agent Factory Outlet, don't connect to email at all — they only draft text you copy and send yourself.
Can AI Agents Be Trusted?
AI agents can be trusted for tasks within clear limits, but not blindly. Trust depends on what access you give them, whether you check important outputs, and how the system is built. A safer agent is one with tight permissions and no ability to act on its own.
Are AI Agents Safe?
AI agents are as safe as the access you give them. An agent that can't reach your accounts and can't act on its own is low-risk. Safety problems come from wide permissions, no oversight, or trusting outputs blindly. The safest agents do little without you.
